Last Full Day in London
Today was our last full day in London 😢 and we have our work cut out for us today.
Starting off, we went to breakfast at Bill's. Some of us got traditional British breakfasts, while others opted for more "usual" items.
Clean plate club!
After breakfast, we had some time to ourselves. A few of us went sightseeing while others stayed back in the flats to pack. I personally took a nap, it was going to be a busy afternoon.
Kat, Becca and I met Dr. Hicks outside the flats around 1 P.M. and we were off to the Globe Theatre for Comedy of Errors.
Here's a pic from our journey!
The trip wasn't long, we took the tube most of the way and then walked for about 10-15 minutes. A bit longer than our usual trips, but it is do-able.
Soon enough we made it to the theatre. We met up with Whitney, Frankie, and Maddie outside of the entrance and went to get our cushions (you really need them). The cushions are a dirty red color and they really help you be just a bit more comfortable on the wooden benches. A must buy item.
Here's where we went in!
The play was actually super interesting! To put it simply, two twin brothers and their twin servants are separated as children and for the entire play, they are mixed up. It got a bit boring in some places, but I still enjoyed it. One thing I didn't enjoy was the weird singing and dancing that happened at the beginning and the ending. I wasn't expecting it, so I was caught of guard.
After the play, we all did a bit of sightseeing near the theatre. Our first stop, the Millennium Bridge. It was a beautiful day so being able to look at the river and see all of the different boats and stuff was really interesting. I enjoyed the view so much!
Here's my view of the river!
As we continued walking, we came to St. Paul's Cathedral. It was absolutely beautiful from the outside. I really enjoy the architecture of the building and it stood out to me because of how beautiful it was.
Look how pretty!
Becca, Kat, and Frankie went into the cathedral while Whitney, Maddie, and I went to SoHo Coffee for a quick drink and bite to eat. Breakfast was filling, but with all the walking we had done we were hungry.
After our snack, the three of us met Dr. Hicks and the rest of the girls at the St. Paul's Metro Station and we took the central line to Queensway. We were supposed to get off at Lancaster Gate, but the station was closed. This minor inconvenience did not stop Dr. Hicks and he got us to where we needed to be. We then hopped onto a bus to Lancaster Gate and then walked from said bus stop to our High Tea reservation!
So beautiful!
We got in a bit early (as we do) and service was amazing! I loved everything they brought us (except the salmon sandwiches) and we definitely ate a lot! I got a fruit tea and it was absolutely delicious 5/5 stars.
So yummy! (feat. Becca and Whitney)
We didn't just have tea and sandwiches, but scones and desserts too! There was a carrot cake, a raspberry mousse, chocolate tart, and a macaroon. My personal favorite was the carrot cake. All the desserts were plated really well and they had edible flowers on them! If I was ever to do this again, I would definitely go back!
Beautiful desserts that we had!
Once tea was over, we hopped back onto a bus and rode it back pretty close to the flats, maybe a 3 minute walk away. Becca and Whitney went shopping while the rest of us walked back to the flats. We finished our night with some relaxing and packing. Overall, today was a great way to spend our last full day in London!
